The Master of International Trade and Finance equips students with advanced tools that will enable them to handle complex issues relevant to open economies. It gives graduate economists and practitioners an opportunity to upgrade their skills in the areas of international economics, trade and finance, thus providing better career opportunities at a senior level in both the private and public sectors.

Applicants must hold a good undergraduate degree in a relevant area or a good undergraduate degree in non-relevant area plus two years professional work experience in the relevant area or any graduate diploma plus two years professional work experience in the relevant area.

Course Structure

Students are required to complete eight units chosen from amongst three separate pools. Units in pool A and pool B are designed to provide students with the requisite solid grounding in economics, finance, trade and statistical methods. Units in pool C are designed to allow students to undertake advanced study in accordance with their particular interests or special needs.

Pool A contains three core units for which no exemptions or substitutions are allowed. Pool B contains four units for which substitutes from Pool C are allowed where students can demonstrate equivalent prior knowledge in any particular unit. Pool C contains those units from which students can choose in order to make up the remainder of their required eight units.
