This degree is for people who want to work with computers and in the IT (Information Technology) industry. The course prepares students to work with, train and support other people in their use of the technology. It provides a sound foundation in information technology and computing, particularly through learning by direct hands-on experience in class, laboratories and in real-world work experience sites. It will suit those whose main interest is not the design, creation and maintenance of computing and information systems applications; programming and systems development are de-emphasised. It is expected that this degree will have Australian Computer Society professional level accreditation.

Study Mode
Three years full time.

Accreditation
Currently the Bachelor of Technology has Associate level accreditation with the Australian Computer Society (ACS). An upgrade to Professional level accreditation will be sought.
