Students should follow the course structure for the course version relevant to the year they commenced. This version applies to students whose commencement year in this course was 2005 & 2006.

The Bachelor of Engineering is a four year course accredited by Engineers Australia. The course has a common first year program for all engineering disciplines and also shares two units with the Bachelor of Industrial Design, exposing students to a wide range of experiences in the first year. Student have an opportunity to focus on an area of specialty by undertaking a key program in the disciplines of Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Telecommunications and Robotics and Mechatronics. Sub-majors can be chosen from a range that compliments their specialist discipline. Students also have an opportunity to broaden their experience by choosing sub-majors from other disciplines or alternately outside the School.

Admission

Admission to this course would normally be through UAC or the University's Guaranteed Course Transfer Policy. Assumed knowledge required to admission is: successful completion of HSC in Mathematics at Band 5 or higher and any two units of Science and any two units of English. Studies in Physics, Mathematics Extension 1 or Mathematics Extension 2 are recommended.
