Environmental Health Management is an area which deals with strategies for environmental monitoring, assessment and intervention with a view to securing human health promotion. Units cover the management of air quality, water supply, food, the acoustic environment (noise) and buildings, in addition to health promotion and regulatory approaches required for ensuring a safe and healthy environment. This Major, together with the Environmental Health Key Program, is the program professionally accredited by Environmental Health Australia for graduates wishing to practice as Environmental Health Officers in local or state government.
