The Policing Leadership specialisation has been designed to provide a pathway to a masters degree in social science for individuals currently serving in a leadership capacity in a police service. The program is designed to incorporate specialised study with the core program in the Master of Social Science. On completion students will have in-depth grounding in theory and research in the social sciences that complements their existing specialised knowledge and skills in the field of Policing Leadership.
This specialisation has been developed to serve the needs of serving police leaders who desire a masters degree in social science.
Graduating students will demonstrate high level mastery in theory and practice in the social sciences with specialised knowledge and skills in Policing Leadership.

Structure
Qualification for this award requires the successful completion of 160 credit points from 1770 - Master of Social Science consisting of 100 credit points of core units, a 40 credit point specialisation plus 20 credit points from the Specialisation/alternate units.

Note: These specialisation units are only available as Recognition of Prior Learning (Advanced Standing) to graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership Program at NSW Police Management and Leadership Centre; or the Graduate Diploma of Executive Leadership (Policing and Emergency Services) at the Australian Institute of Police Management.
