About this Unit
This unit is a major hours project undertaken by a fourth year honours student in the School of Communication Arts. The unit consists of a substantial project of individual research, either in theoretical or practical units, or both. The topic of research is to be decided in consultation with the Supervisior and the School Honours adviser. A major research project in Communication Arts can take two principal forms: 1) either an academic research paper (minimum 15000 words) or 2) a substantial body of practical work that arises through studio-based arts practice submitted for examination with accompanying scholarly exegesis and written documentation (minimum 5000 words).
