About this Unit
In 2009 this unit replaced by 101490 - Creative Arts 1 (AREP). This unit introduces students to the theory and practices of using Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts in education. Collaborative learning and reflective practices are the key operating principles of the unit. Students will explore the relevance of the arts in the education process of children through professional experience and include the competent use of appropriate Information and Communication Technology for learning in the arts. The unit provides an understanding of the importance of the art forms both as powerful teaching and learning strategies across the primary curriculum and as creative arts in their own right.
