Unit Enrolment Restrictions
Students must be enrolled in 1598 Bachelor of Education (Primary) – AREP. Prior to enrolling in this unit students must have: 1) successfully completed an approved Child Protection Workshop 2) submitted a Prohibited Employment Declaration prior to 1 June 2010 or a Working with Children Check Student Declaration after 1 June 2010.


About this Unit
In 2015 this unit replaced by 102130 Inclusive Education Practices. Students need to understand and assess the intellectual, emotional, social and physical needs of all children in the classroom. They need to develop appropriate skills, attitudes and methodologies to enable them to plan, implement and evaluate programs which meet the educational needs of individual children with disabilities, learning difficulties and/or behaviour disorders as well as those who are gifted and talented. This unit explores strategies and theoretical approaches which promote and enable inclusion and effective learning within the context of Federal and State policy and legislation.
