About this Unit
This unit is an applied study of performance through rich engagement with a selection of key phases and movements in performance history. These histories encompass action as much as theory and teaching methodologies acknowledge and prioritise this. Philosophies and principles will be illuminated through case studies of incidents, individuals and phases in histories of performance. Key references and personnel will be introduced and students will be assisted to develop ways to articulate their own insights into how meaning is and has been made in and through performance.
