About this Unit
This unit builds on the concepts examined in Macroeconomic Analysis. It analyses alternative macroeconomic models - neoclassical, new classical, Keynesian, neo-Keynesian and post-Keynesian models - and applies them to inflation, unemployment and balance of payments problems. Macroeconomic policies are analysed for an open economy with special reference to the Australian economy. Major policy debates on inflation, unemployment, current account deficits and growth are considered. Growth and technological change are studied.
