It explores the evolution of the technology era, dependency on gadgets, impact of the Internet on everyday life, use of Web2.0 technologies, evolution of online communities, different views of social networking sites; along with how networking communities are emerging and forming part of daily lives. This unit also examines the types of jobs available in information technology. It also covers the legal aspects of IT including an overview of Cyber laws, IP laws and IT ethics and policies.
