About this Unit
This unit is intended to extend the knowledge of students in the area of servo-systems in general including pneumatic and hydraulic servo control systems as applicable to manufacturing and process machinery. All aspects of such systems and their integration in automated applications in industry will be discussed including the fluid circuit design, equipment selection and becoming familiar with industry standards. Project based design to be tested in the laboratory under the supervision of technical officers will form part of the unit to provide practical experience with servo-systems.
