About this Unit
To enable students to experience a range of practical chemical and biochemical analytical techniques, backed by sound theory, so that they develop skills appropriate for quality assurance programs. To develop skills in report writing, sampling and data treatment, volumetric analysis, separation methods (including chromatography of various types), spectroscopic methods in analysis, electrochemical methods, automated analysis, enzymic methods, proximate analysis of food stuffs, biochemical methods and problem solving techniques.
