About this Unit
In this unit students carry out a minor research project in the form of a directed investigation under the supervision of an academic staff member. With the assistance of the supervisor, students define the problem to be studied and then develop the appropriate methodology. The final report consists of an appropriate literature review, presentation of experimental and/or theoretical results, an analysis and discussion followed by an appropriate conclusion. This unit equips students with the basic ingredients required for undertaking a biology-based research project in a work place or in post-graduate studies.
